The BDS phase II program is covered in 5 semesters (V to IX) of 2 ½ years duration followed by one year of compulsory rotatory internship.The teaching/learning activities include SIS, CBL, out patient treatments in the dental clinics, LABEX, Seminars, LIF and Residential field postings.The subjects/disciplines for the second phase BDS are

The above mentioned first four disciplines formed the part of the annual assessment for 3RD year BDS, which constituted two internal assessment examinations, one at the end of V semester and the other at the end of the VI semester. The SIS and CLIP sessions in the dental subjects were incorporated for which the assessment is done in the 4TH year and 5TH year.

The above mentioned last 8 disciplines formed the part of the internal assessment at the end of vii semester and exam going subjects the other at the end of the viii semester. The annual examination for 4TH year was held at the end of viii semester in the subject of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Community Dentistry. It has been decided to include community dentistry in ix semester final exam in future and include Periodontia in VIII semester final exam.

All 8 clinical departments in dental college regularly participated in T/L activities. ''Teaching program implementation committee' monitored THE teaching/learning activities. The committee meets regularly on every Wednesday. All faculty members of the departments from dental college and concerned medical faculty attend the meeting to discuss matters pertaining to the study program and evaluation of the student's performances.
